Fund for Global Human Rights Launches New Website & Flagship Animation

FGHR Website Homepage

FGHR Website HomepageWe’re proud and excited to announce the launch of the Fund for Global Human Rights’ (FGHR) new website and flagship animation, the latest projects from our partnership with the Washington DC-based foundation.

Initially, FGHR commissioned Shape History to redesign and develop their new website, although the partnership quickly expanded to include the creation of a brand new flagship animation. Both of these new assets launch today on Tuesday 22nd October 2019.

FGHR is a public foundation empowering frontline activists to strengthen human rights and create lasting change around the world.

FGHR Interactive Map on website

The new website has been designed to elevate the human rights funder’s public image, diversify funding and showcase the invaluable work done by staff and grantees. FGHR’s new flagship animation tells the story of their journey and its grantees take in the fight for global human rights.

Spotlight on UX

Redeveloping the site was all about improving the user experience. We created more streamlined journeys  in the early phases, and brought these into development with slide and scroll functionality. A new interactive map brings to life where funds have been invested across the world. All features were designed to encourage longer site visits and elevate the organisation’s digital proposition to users, enabling FGHR to showcase its work to more people.

The new flagship animation tells the story of FGHR’s journey and how it works its grantees in the fight for global human rights.

Robin Pierro, FGHR’s Head of Communications, said:

“Working with Shape History throughout this website redesign process has been an absolute pleasure – and we could not be more thrilled with the final result!”

Lauren Kay-Lambert, Co-Managing Director, said:

“Working with the immensely talented FGHR team felt seamless the entire way through the process. Though modest, their seriously effective work reaches those most vulnerable in society. I’m excited about our future partnership together.”
