Creative Director (Mid-Weight)

Required skills:

  • All round creative individual with a flair for using their work to promote positive and social change.
  • Integrated experience with the ability to generate ideas including video, branding, experiential etc.
  • A meticulous eye for detail.
  • Pre-empting anything at all that may go wrong throughout the project life.
  • Confident presenter of work and good experience of dealing with all types of clients.
  • Inspiring experience in impact-led campaigns, creative storytelling and theory of change development, with proven real-world results.
  • Feels comfortable leading various members of a team.
  • Leading brainstorms and confidence in ideation of ideas.
  • A campaigner mindset – someone who can demonstrate passion for specific causes.
  • Comfortable working under both time and volume pressures.  
  • Very good organisational skills and understands how to balance multiple projects at once.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Suite.
  • Basic camera knowledge.

Bonus Skills

  • Experience with Animation (either 2D or 3D) in After Effects / Cinema 4D or similar.

Shape History, a social change communications agency working with The Prince’s Trust, United Nations, Macmillan Cancer Support and the NHS to name a few, is looking for a talented and organised Creative Director (Mid-weight) – to lead our creative team in the UK. This is a position perfect for a candidate with 4-5 years’ experience looking for their next step in leading a team, with a firm interest across both campaigning and creative storytelling.

Closing Date:​  Friday 8th March, 6pm GMT

Day to day work:

  • Leading creative brainstorms, engaging the team to think in new ways.
  • Seeing conceptual thinking through into execution working with the creative team to make this happen.
  • Leading storytelling development for campaign narrative and content.
  • Problem solving with the team, answering any queries that may arise.
  • Inspiring an environment of creative activism within the team.
  • Dealing with all partners from a top level perspective.
  • Signing off creative content, ensuring it’s of the highest quality and achieves what it sets out to do.

Junior Part Time Designer/Animator (Content Creator)

Required skills:

  • All round creative individuals with a flair for using their work to promote positive and social change.
  • A meticulous eye for detail.
  • Visual adaptability with the ability to emulate specific brand styles.
  • Very good experience of design for animation workflows.
  • Motion-graphic animation.
  • Very good experience of design for print and digital media with associated technical specifications.
  • Working with the full Adobe CC suite esp. Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and After Effects.
  • Understanding of story, narrative structures.
  • A campaigner mindset – someone who can demonstrate passion for specific causes.
  • Comfortable working under both time and volume pressures.  
  • Very good organisational skills and understands how to balance multiple projects at once.

Bonus skills:

  • Using Cinema 4D, Blender or similar 3D animation techniques.
  • Basic sound mixing.
  • Understanding of distribution platforms and the associated technical specifications for each.
  • Building presets for lower 3rds / titles / motion-graphics.

Shape History, a social change communications agency working with United Nations, Macmillan Cancer Support and the NHS to name a few, is looking for a talented and organised Junior Part Time Editor, with preferable design skills. This is a position perfect for a candidate with 1-2 years experience looking for their next step. This will be a part time role, working 3 days per week with the potential of it turning into a full time position.

Closing Date:​  Friday 22nd March, 2019

Day to day work:

  • Supporting the Production Lead with day to day creative tasks.
  • Supporting brainstorms with the campaigns team to inspire new ideas to fuel social change using film, video and design.
  • Editing a multitude of videos in Adobe Premiere.
  • Minimal Text and Icon animation in Adobe After Effects.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the creative team, and partner teams, to support and make the most out content and platforms available.
