Strategy Lead

Required skills for this role:

  • You understand how target varying target audiences, writing bespoke messaging to reach them.
  • You have experience in writing communications strategies for partners.

The Role

Purpose-led creative communications agency, Shape History are looking for candidates who have an interest in public relations and advocacy, with 3+ years’ industry experience, who are looking to join a fast growing, impactful agency working in social change

If you’re a detailed individual with a strategic mindset who loves working on a range of exciting, impactful projects, this full-time role is perfect for you. Having a good understanding of formulating and implementing strategies is essential to this role. It will involve you deep-diving, researching, writing and consulting with a range of inspiring partners both nationally and globally.

Roles and responsibilities: 

  • Working with our Planners (account managers) on a daily basis, you will be responsible for completing any strategic task that comes your way.
  • Planning publicity strategies and campaigns, identifying and developing hooks for coverage.
  • Undertaking research into areas of policy, advocacy, and campaigns, using this to present and advise internal members of the team and our partners.
  • Conducting stakeholder and audience interviews to analyse to feed into campaign and messaging development.
  • Some strategic tasks may include creating key messaging for audiences, creating SWOT analysis, taking over social media accounts for our partners, writing a communications strategy or joining a consultation workshop.
  • Analysing and collating media coverage and impact of campaign efforts.
  • Writing op-eds or blogs for partners on key issues within their sector.
  • Joining meetings with our Planners and our partners, you will present your work and answer any questions.
  • Drafting press releases, proof-reading, and if necessary, rewriting media statements.
  • Building relationships with media contacts on a UK, European, and global level.
  • Working with our strategists to brainstorm and answer any questions they have.
  • Proof-read and, if necessary, rewrite media statements.

Depending on the partner, the successful applicant may also be required to carry out other, more general, marketing responsibilities. This can involve working on websites and social media and writing and/or producing presentations, reports, and articles or both external and internal distribution. Managing your various tasks, you will ensure all deadlines are kept and pre-empting anything that you believe could go wrong.

Remuneration: Overall package worth between £27,000-36,000 per year, depending on experience

Mid-Weight Brand Designer

Essential Skills

  • A confident, organised individual with the ability to multitask and communicate with multiple stakeholders.
  • At least 4 years’ experience in a mid / senior design role.
  • To be able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of behavioural design.
  • Have a clear process and an excellent understanding of brand implementation.
  • Responsive, comprehensive and detailed project management, with the ability to be autonomous in your work.
  • Full and in-depth understanding of the Adobe CC and related programs.
  • Must be able to effectively independently project manage workflows and oversee other team members when required.
  • Proven and comprehensive portfolio of work with references / testimonials.
  • A firm passion to make a positive impact in society.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of film, animation and other multi-media workflows relating to design.
  • Knowledge of persona mapping and audience data strategy as it pertains to design.

The Role

We’re on the search for a full time Senior Brand and UX Designer with 4+ years’ experience looking to enhance their creative skills in a fast growing, purpose-led agency. This is a fantastic opportunity to have the creative freedom to ideate and design brands with a social good purpose.

Day-to-day work

  • Supporting the Associate Creative Director with day to day creative tasks.
  • Supporting brainstorms with the full team to inspire new ideas to fuel social change using digital and print media.
  • Use strategic and behavioural analysis to inform brand design.
  • Develop multi-platform design workflows for new or existing brands. 
  • Working closely with our web developers to deliver branded  UX / UI behavioural design.
  • Ideate, design and develop wireframes and page designs for websites with varying degrees of complexity. 
  • Manage digital design workflows and implement briefs to a schedule.
  • Lead on development of designs that are innovative and intuitive, ensuring brand consistency and quality throughout.
  • Managing and organising your own tasks, updating our Campaign Planners on when they will receive certain assets.
  • Ensuring all client feedback is implemented to the highest quality and running through this with them during meetings.
  • Confidently making creative suggestions to improve pieces of work to our clients.
  • Overseeing and providing feedback to our Digital Creatives to improve their quality of work.

Salary:  £28,000-32,000 pro rata based on experience
